Chaparral to debut new Surf and Outboard models

Chaparral Boats will display their new range of Surf boats at the 2017 Melbourne Boat Show in June, having just launched at the Noosa Festival of Surf and sponsoring world champion skim boarder Austin Keen to attend.

Keen was all praise for the Chaparral concept stating, " The Chaparral’s are well equipped to ride in saltwater, providing the familiar saltwater buoyancy of riding in the ocean. They also use the Malibu surf gate system, which creates the best shaped wake surf wave currently on the market. And after you're done practicing that front side reverse 20 times behind the boat, you could anchor it up and paddle into the line-up and try it on a real wave."

"The Noosa launch was a brilliant way to show the benefits of owning a Chaparral Surf Boat," said Scott O’Hare from Chaparral Australia.  "We surfed the Noosa river most mornings and then took off out through the bar into Laguna Bay for a surf off the beach in the afternoons.  At one stage Mother Nature hadn’t provided any real waves and we ended up with some of the world’s best carving up behind the big Chaparral 257 Surf, enjoying the endless waves for hours!"

O’Hare, "Unlike other stern drive manufacturers, Chaparral have not just added the revolutionary Volvo FFD technology, extra ballast and standard trim tabs as an option, but have redesigned five of their hulls to specifically develop a bigger cleaner wave and when coupled with Malibu Surf Gate, the surf computer and ballast have created something truly impressive. As the only dedicated saltwater wake surf boat anywhere in the world, it produces a bigger, cleaner wave than any other stern drive wake boat and most of the traditional shaft drive boats, but can also handle the rigours of saltwater."

In addition to the Surf range, Chaparral will also debut its latest outboard boat, the 21 H2o Bowrider. The H2o series are aimed at entry level buyers, but come with the quality DNA, high content andtough construction that Chaparral are renowned for.  Of course Chaparral will also have jet powered and traditional stern drive models on display as well as a range of their sibling fishing boat brand, Robalo; with centre console and dual console models on show.

Chaparral and Robalo can be found on the Aussie Boat Sales stand #D10 at the Melbourne Boat Show
