Step Aboard with Making Waves Foundation
Climb aboard ninetySeven and discover how the Making Waves Foundation uses sailing and boatbuilding to create opportunities, build confidence and bring people together.
Making Waves Foundation volunteers will be on hand throughout the show, with visitors invited aboard ninetySeven on Saturday and Sunday. You can also see one of the colourful Rainbow Dinghies built by participants in the Foundation’s Wright of Passage program.
Come along, meet the team and learn more about the people, programs and possibilities making waves on and off the water.
About Making Waves Foundation
The Making Waves Foundation uses sailing to create inclusive opportunities for young people living with disabilities or facing life challenges. Its free programs are delivered by dedicated volunteers aboard specially adapted yachts, including Ninety Seven, a Farr 47 based at Victoria Harbour in Docklands, and Wot Eva, a Nelson Marek-designed TP52 operating from Geelong. Together, these vessels help give more Victorians the opportunity to experience the freedom, confidence and connection that sailing can provide.
